The attempt to harmonise an apparent earth-age discrepancy between scripture and science has led to the so-called Gap or Pre-Adamic Civilisation Theory†: The idea proposes that the earth was perfect (Genesis 1:1) before the fall of Satan and his angels brought chaos upon the earth — and the sons of angels went in unto daughters of men breeding giants (Nephilim). This required, so is the claim, of Elohym to re-create—or at least restore—an ‘inhabitable’ earth (Genesis 1:2):
Was there a pre-Adamic race of man? The tree diagram here looks to suggests so. More on this topic can be found at The First People and Pre-Adomites and Noah’s three sons. And then there is the enigma that is the Piri Reis, a Turkish map that dates to 1513. It is kept in the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. It is the oldest surviving map to show the Americas and, mysteriously, is said to show detail not available to 16th century Europe.

†Rather than dogmatic presupposition, remain open to what Elohym chooses to reveal. A prequel to the Adam and Eve epic and an “old earth” age cannot be discounted. The jury is still out on this one. We are equally sanguine with an old-earth age as the traditional young-earth scriptural interpretation. Irrespective, the comings and goings of an earlier epic—if indeed one did exist—are not our immediate concern. They are what they were! That Elohym created man is self-evident, self-referential. Man creates nothing without the inspiration, the whim (if you will), of Elohym. Eloheinu is spirit and is to be worshiped in spirit. And the quintessential earthly embodiment of the Spirit of the Father Yahuwah (YHWH) is His Son Yahuwshuwa (Prince of Peace, King of Kings): salvation of which is a gift from the former and accessible to any and all but only after a spiritual rebirth and inner turning to trace the path of the latter. Yahuwshuwa, the name above all names.
